FAQ's
How long do you need to set up?
Get Real can be set up within an hour from when we get access to the room
How long do you play for?
Our typical evening is 8-12 with a 30 minute break. However we are very flexible and can arrrange to suit whatever it is you need from us - just give us a call to discuss.
Can you play background music between sets?
Absolutely. It is important that we keep the atmosphere lively, even when we are not playing so we typically will have music on a little before we start, during our break and often whilst we pack up too depending on the venue and finish time.
Do you do requests?
Yes! As long as we have 6 weeks notice, we are happy to learn a few songs for your evening. Whether that's a first dance, or just songs you like, we are always happy add new songs if they are not already in our set.
However, if you forget to ask or come up with something you want to hear on the evening itself, just ask anyway and if we can do it, we will. We've all been doing this for long enough that even if it's not on the set, we have probably played it at some point!
Can I pick the songs you play?
For the evening to go as well as it can, it is important we have the flexibility to adjust for the atmosphere and people in the room. It's something we do week in week out and - if we can say so ourselves - we are very good at it! So whilst we can absolutely learn a few requests, we do need to be allowed to arrange the set ourselves so that you get the best from us.
My venue has a license until 1am, can you extend your set?
Absolutely. If it takes us beyond our usual 4 hours, we can do a DJ style service and put some music on to keep the party going through to finishing time
Do you provide lights and all the equipment?
Yes. We are fully self contained and provide an extensive array of lights as well as a professional P.A (sound) system to make sure the band is always sounding great.
